I have owned my Winchesters for most of my 54 years. And I will never ever buy a new shotgun or rifle even if it carries the Winchester name, if it is built outside of the United States. In fact this year I bought another shotgun a Mossberg because it was made in New Haven. It is far from the quality of my Winnie 120 but it is made here in the United States. And that means that at least one company is still giving jobs to Americans. BUY AMERICAN!!!!!

The Speed Pump Defender looks a lot like the old Model 1300 Defender well the same tactical gear fit (surefire, knoxx stock, and rails) becuse I have all that on my old defened 1300 and it is sweet but naver hearts to upgrade, but I dont wont to buy all new tactical gear for it.

PS I always buy from small dealers but it seems that American weapons arent what they used to be... I would love to buy a nice American made firearm but the only ones I have ever found have been along the lines of High points, and Jaminez's, (look'em up...you'll see) good for about 1000 rounds then its a paper weight that jams. So in answer to the buy American comment....I would love to but I just cant find something that I find reliable.. but I do buy from mom and pop shops that you pretty much have to have everything ordered but they back what they sell and ya get good service and thats where my money goes, i dont even mind paying more to get the personal service. I've always looked at buying a gun like finding a girlfriend its not only a big decision but a personal Exspierance (please forgive spelling its late and I just switched shifts so I'm Beat)

Hi I was curious...I'm a lefty yay nothing in this world is made for me..bummer dude right? Well I got a glock which kicks the crap outa the Cheapo that I bought at 21 where I gotta use my right hand to knock the saftey now I'm in the market for a nice compact Shotgun to replace my browning stalker that has a barrel thats 100 ft long! I was diggin around found the new Winchester Super X Pump defender looks nice I was originaly leaning tword the Mossberg 590A1 the one thing that I'm most concerned about is the saftey no one ever talks about where the saftey is!!! is the Saftey on the wrong side of the Gun on the SXP (like all the others its seems) or is it on top like the Mossberg? this would help greatly in my persuit of a decent weapon. thanks

Needs a TruGlo front sight like the original Defender. Why the shorter mag tube ? Glad I bought my 1300 Speed Pump when I did.

Yeah; let's buy American because it'll be better. Most of the parts are manufactured overseas or otherwise out of the country but its better because its "AMERICAN MADE!!!!!". Ignorance is bliss though I suppose. I'm just glad to see the Winchester pump gun back in production; I could give a shit if it was made on Mars, just as long as it performs. A Winchester is going to outperform a clunky Mossberg any day; always has and always will.
