On Monday, March 3, the Missouri Senate Judiciary Committee will likely consider Senate Bill 1200, authored by gun-ban radical State Senator Joan Bray (D-24).SB1200 would require that by 2009, only “coded” ammunition could be legally sold in Missouri. Encoded ammunition would be registered to the purchaser and would include the date of transaction, the purchaser’s name, date of birth, driver’s license number, and the serial number of the ammunition. Moreover, the database in which the coded ammunition information would be stored would be created by a new ammunition tax applied to each round of ammunition sold.
Please contact the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee TODAY and strongly encourage them to reject Senator Bray’s latest attempt to restrict the rights of law-abiding Missourians by voting against SB1200.

I personaly think this is a bunch of crap. If this takes place you won’t even be able to reload legally. This is just the start of the government to try and get the guns. If they can’t get the guns they will get the ammo.

It is hard to believe these congress men are educated and elected. They have too much time on their hands to come up with something so stupid. I would think they could work on the more inportant issues that the state need instead of this. What is the new tax for??? Another pet project where they will profit. We need to really look at what we put into office.

Just another liberalist attempt and disarming america and making it easy for the people who break the law to feed on the people who follow it.

When the government fears arms in the hands of it’s people, it’s time for the people to fear the government.

This is a bunch of crap. They need to worry about other problems like gas prices. This country went to war to get away from taxes, now we have taxes on everything. This country was created by guns and it will always be that way, if they want mine they can come and try to get them!!!!

A shame that politicians think that putting a code on ammo will do anything to the criminal. They do not consider law - abiding citizens worthy of the ability to protect ourselfs from an element that they fail to prosecute or protect us from…….I am waiting for the day when they come and take all our cars away from us to protect us from the drunk driver. You sure don’t see them going after the BUDWEISER family..

one of these days we will be like canada and lose our right to own a gun. i disagree with this bill to the fullest. 2 % of the world works to feed the 98% that don’t. to heck with more tax. pretty soon they will be weighing the animals we hunt and harvest and charge us a tax on that. i better not give them any ideas.
