Smith and Wesson has brought back the powerful .41 Magnum as a self defense gun in the Model 357 Night Guard. The six-shot S&W model 357 Night Guard sports a XS 24/7 front tritium sight on the end of its 2 1/2″ barrel and a Cylinder and Slide Extreme Duty fixed rear sight.
With a Scandium frame, the model 357 weighs less than 30 ounces unloaded. Recoil from the .41 Magnum is somewhat tamed by Pachmayr’s excellent Compac Custom grips.
Finished in the popular matte black, the model 357 should prove to be a popular addition to the Night Guard series of revolvers. MSRP is $1153.
