Crimson Trace Laserguard Family Expands

By Richard on January 7, 2009 No Comments

Expanding on the success of the LG-432 laser made for the Ruger LCP, Crimson Trace has added additional models to its Laserguard line of laser sighting systems.

Crimson Trace Glock LaserguardDifferent from the traditional Lasergrips produced by Crimson Trace, the Laserguard laser optics attach to the front of the pitsol’s trigger guard instead of the grip.  The obvious advantage to this method is the maintain the thin profile of the gun.

Like the original Lasergrips, the Laserguards are user adjustable.  Crimson Trace is offering Laserguards for the following pistols:

  • Glock 19, 23,25,26,27,28,32,33,36, and 38
  • Kahr P9, PM9, P40, PM40, CW9, and CW40
  • Kel Tec PF9, P3AT, and P32
  • Ruger LCP

From Crimson Trace:

Crimson Trace announces several new Laserguard models for many of the smaller and concealable polymer pistols available on the market today. The Laserguard family now includes models for the Kel-Tec P3AT and P32 (Model LG-430), the Kel-Tec PF-9 (Model LG-435), the Glock 19/26/36 that now offers a master on/off switch (Model LG-436), the Kahr PM9/40,P9/40,CW9/40 (Model LG-437) and the Ruger LCP, (Model LG-431). This Laserguard line-up validates the design as the natural progression for Lasergrips for some of the popular polymer pistols.

These Laserguard models add very little mass to the already sleek design of the compact pistols, allowing the pistol to fit most holsters. We have designed the Laserguard to fit below the barrel and be an unobtrusive addition to the firearm. The Laserguard platform was designed to overcome the design challenges posed by polymer framed handguns.

The various Laserguard models can use either two #357 silver oxide batteries or a single 1/3N 3 volt lithium battery. These small batteries allow the Laserguard to be unobtrusive yet powerful enough to provide the brightness that Crimson Trace customers expect. Another feature of the Laserguards are that they use the smaller 3.3mm diameter laser diode which reduces the overall size of the laser diode housing. All Laserguard products come with an accessory pack that contains batteries, hex wrenches for laser adjustments, a cleaning cloth and several cleaning swabs. A three-year warranty is standard.
