I don&#039;t know for a fact, but I have always been under the impression that all of the Winchester 7.62 x 54R brass was made by S&amp;B.  That does make economic sense, as Winchester would not want to fire up all of the machinery to make brass for a limited appeal cartridge when they could just buy some from a factory already making the stuff.  Don&#039;t take that as a slight toward the 7.62 x 54R cartridge!  I love the cartridge and have several guns chambered for it (two M44&#039;s and a 1930).
