Black Hills Ammunition introduced several new rifle cartridge loadings at the 2009 SHOT Show.
In .223 Remington, Black Hills is producing two new cartridges featuring Barnes bullets. The first uses a 55 grain TSX bullet. The TSX is an all-copper bullet that is designed to fully expand on impact, yet still penetrate deeply.
The second new .223 loading uses the Barnes MPG (Multi-Purpose Green) bullet. The MPG is a fragmenting bullet designed for limited penetration. This load is good for ranges with steel targets as these bullets have limited ricochet potential. The MPG is lead-free.
Black Hills is also loading the TSX bullet in .243 Winchester now.
