Sig Sauer Resumes Shipping Two Magazines with Pistols
BySig Sauer began shipping only one magazine with all commercial pistols in March 2009. Sig Sauer has now recinded that policy, and is once again shipping two magazines with every commercial pistol sale.
Sig claimed that the decision to ship only one magazine was based on the inability of their magazine supplier to keep up with demand. This meant that Sig was manufacturing guns, but could not get an adequate supply of magazines to make them run.
Now, however, Sig Sauer has announced that their supplier is now meeting demand, and that Sig can now start shipping guns with two magazines again.
If you are in the market for a new Sig pistol, purchase carefully. There will still be plenty of guns with only one magazine in the supply chain that dealers may be trying to get rid of.
Sig Sauer has not stated if they will compensate any of their customers who purchased a single magazine pistol between March and May.
