Brownells announced several new products this month that are designed to keep your rifle, pistol, and shotgun clean and running in “the real world.”
The M-Pro 7 AR-15 Cleaning Kit is a handy kit with everything you need to keep your AR-15 platform gun and pistol running smooth. The kit comes with rifle bore brushes in .223 and .308, plus pistol bore brushes in 9mm and .45. The kit comes in a hard-shell polycarbonate black box with the following items:
- 2 fl. oz (59ml) Gun Cleaner;
- 2 fl oz. Cleaner/Lubricant/Protectant;
- five-section steel cleaning rod w/30″ maximum extended length;
- (4) bronze bore brushes to fit .22/.223/5.56mm, .308/7.62mm, 9mm, and .45;
- bronze bolt way cleaning brush;
- polymer patch loop;
- 1″ circular, 2″ square, and 2½” square cotton flannel patches;
- lint-free gun cloth; and

Brownells also states the M-Pro 7 AR-15 Cleaning Kit meets TSA regulations for legal transport in checked baggage aboard commercial airliners, due to its non-hazardous and non-flammable contents.
Brownells also introduced the M-Pro 7 Soft Sided Tactical Kit, which is designed to be a portable way to clean common handguns and long guns from .22 to 12 gauge. In a very compact black nylon 6″x9″ case, the kit contains:
- 2 fl. oz (59ml) Gun Cleaner;
- 2 fl oz. Cleaner/Lubricant/Protectant;
- six-section aluminum cleaning rod w/32″ maximum extended length;
- (5) bronze brushes to fit bores from .22 to .45, plus 12/20 gauge;
- (6) brass and polymer jags to fit bores from .22 to .45 caliber;
- large and small polymer patch loops;
- assorted 1″, 2″, and 2½” synthetic cleaning patches;

The M-Pro 7 Travel Kit is designed for the law enforcement or military professional who travels on commercial carriers. Packed in a compact 6″ x 5″ x 1¾” nylon travel pouch with a secure hook-and-loop closure, this kit is specifically designed to comply with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations for airline carry-on luggage. The 2 oz. bottles of non-flammable, non-toxic M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner and Gun Oil meet the TSA’s stringent carry-on liquid requirements, and the six-section, aluminum takedown cleaning rod complies with the 7″ maximum tool size restriction.
