Steyr AUG with Trijicon TriPower Video

By Richard

Take a look at this video featuring the new Steyr AUG/A3 with a Trijicon TriPower optic.

The AUG/A3 is the civilian (read: semi-auto) version of the Steyr AUG combat rifle.  The AUG/A3 is a gas operated .223 Rem carbine with a 16″ barrel, yet, due to the bullpup design, it is only 28.25″ long overall.

The rifle ships with two 30 round magazines, soft carry case, factory AUG sling, and cleaning kit that fits conveniently in the butt stock.

The Steyr AUG/A3 has a picatinny rail for optics, like the Trijicon TriPower shown in the video.

The Trijicon TriPower features a reticle illuminated by three different means:  tritium, fiber optic, and battery.  This means that you should be able to put rounds on target in any circumstance.  It is a 1x scope, meaning no magnification.  Oh, and its waterproof to 100′.

The video was produced by the American Rifleman, a media publication of the NRA.

Loved how the camera had to back away from the flying brass.
