How can anyone who truly loves freedom think that having the government own the banks, the big auto industry and now health care will expand our liberties? The far left’s agenda is clear – we the people cannot be trusted with our own freedoms, therefore the intellectual elites in government (used lightly) will now make our big decisions for us, the ignorant masses! Anyone who was born in the United States had an ancestor at some point that left another country and that kind of thinking to come to this country to live free. My ancestors have been here since before the War for Independence and I can only imagine what they would think about our leaders now. The left loves to misquote Thomas Jefferson’s writings on the separation of church and state, but how about his other writings, such as “a government big enough to provide you everything is big enough to take everything away from you”. And I think it was Jefferson who said “when the government fears the people the people are free, when the people fear the government the people live in tyranny” (or something like that). Either sign up for the elites plan for us (which by the way, the “Cadillac” health plans get taxed even more because why should those who have worked hard for their money be able to pay for a better health plan than what the kings and queens in D.C. have in mind for us). God help us all, but particularly the majority of Americans who have expressed their opinion that the government take-over of health care will not be good for us. The monarchs in Washington need to be taught a powerful lesson about freedom and individual liberties this November!!!
