Although not strictly a gun topic, worth mention is the new Red Dawn movie being released in November. A lot of people relate to the original Red Dawn, and are curious about the direction the remake will take. The question is “Will the remake be any good?”

Will it be any good? How could it be? Its another remake in a long list of remakes that Hollywood botches. They don’t understand what makes certain movies hits. They don’t understand why the original resonates with viewers, just as they couldn’t figure out why 300 was such a huge winner. This is the same industry that took a very good book in Sum of All Fears, and made a nonsensical mess out of it by changing the bad guys from Muslim terrorists to German neo Nazis. They’ll screw the new Red Dawn up to the point of it having a two week run in theaters.
