Ok, I’m testing out a new piece of publishing software for my Mac. It is called MarsEdit. So far, it seems pretty good.
Earlier today, I posted a new article on this site, which was promptly lost by WordPress when I was using the browser interface. Wordpress claimed its dog ate it, but I’m not buying.
So, I decided to try something a little different…hence MarsEdit and this test post. We’ll see how it goes.
First Impressions
Thusfar, I like MarsEdit. However, any time you start to use a new editor, you have to learn that software’s conventions. That is where I am now.
MarsEdit seems to be powerful, yet I am stumbling around, trying to find all of the right bits and parts.?

The above picture was pretty easy to upload…once I figured out how to get MarsEdit to ‘see’ my images on my computer. Resizing can be done when uploading, but I don’t see how to do so ‘on the fly’.
Let’s try a bit of video…
…or not. I can’t seem to make video from my Mac work. That’s a problem. I can still embed YouTube video, though, right…
Ok, YouTube seems to work. That’s good.
More testing to follow…

I have used it for years and I love it.
Careful…I may look to you for tech support…!
So far, I do like it. I am having problems with a few things, but I imagine it is just a matter of learning how the program wants me to do things.
