
Masterpiece Arms announced a new pistol and carbine chambered for the 5.7×28 cartridge. The MPA57SST will come in threeversions: a pistol, a carbine and a CA-approved carbine.
The pistol will use a 5″ barrel, while both carbine versions will use a 16.25″ barrel. The California carbine will have a sub-capacity 10-round magazine, while the other models will use the standard capacity 20-round mags. A 30-round magazine will be an option.
Barrels on the new Masterpiece Arms guns will be threaded for suppressors, which MPA is now making as well.
MPA expects to ship these guns to dealers in February 2012. MSRP will be $599. We will try to get more information and photos of the new guns from the 2012 SHOT Show.

MasterPiece Arms, manufactures of the MPA MAC Line of semi-auto submachine pistols and carbines will unveil the new MPA57SST Defender semi-auto at the 2012 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 17 – 20, 2012. Based on the successful, standard MAC design the new MPA57SST will be available in both a 5-inch fixed barrel pistol and a 16.75-inch carbine. Available in 5.7x28mm with 20-round magazines standard and a 30-round option for the carbine, the MPA57SST will feature a threaded barrel with ½ x28 threads making is suppressor ready.

The MPA57SST Defender Semi-Auto will come with adjustable sights, a side-cocker, scope mount and muzzle break and features all the accuracy, low recoil and performance expected from the Masterpiece Arms Defender series. MSRP will be $599.00. Masterpiece Arms will be submitting the new MPA57SST for California Compliance testing with a 10-round magazine for the carbines only.
