The new Heizer DoubleTap pistol will be shipping soon: late March or early April. Suggested retail pricing will run from $499 to $799 depending on which model you want.
It looks like the less-free states of California, Maryland and Massachusetts will not have the Heizer DoubleTap initially. However, the company is submitting the pistol to the regulatory authorities of those states for approval.
If you are not already familiar with the DoubleTap, a quick description is in order. The DoubleTap is a two-shot pistol with a double-action-only trigger. It will be available in 9mm and .45 ACP with conversion kits to allow you to swap back and forth if you like.
The pistol manages a 3″ barrel, while keeping the overall length to only 5.5″. The real draw is the width: 0.665″. By way of comparison, the Ruger LCP is 0.82″ wide.
The Heizer will be available in aluminum (12 ounces) and titanium (14 ounces). Barrels can be had ported or unported.
The guns are made in the United States.
