I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas season. We’ve been resting a bit, and getting ready for all of the events coming in January. On the upside, we have the 2013 SHOT Show and all of the new guns and gear that comes with it. We will be there getting all of the information for you.
On the downside, we will be in the fight of our lifetimes for our rights to self-defense as codified in the Second Amendment. Among the proposed legislation is registration of all AR, AK and other semi-automatic firearms. Make no mistake, there will be Republicans and Democrats pushing for these freedom-limiting laws.
If you have not done so already, join the NRA plus one of these other organizations:
Second Amendment Foundation
- Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership
Gun Owners of America
- Your state’s gun rights organizations such as Buckeye Firearms Association, Virginia Citizens Defense League, CalGuns, Florida Carry and Georgia Packing. Google your state if it is one of the many I did not specifically list.
Also, go to your elected representatives offices and let them know what you think. A letter is nice, a phone call is ok, and e-mail is almost worthless – showing up and looking them in the eye, on the other hand, can make an impact. Be polite, but firm, in your insistance that they keep their hands off our rights and property.
Lots more coming next week!
