On display at the recent special forces competition in Russia was the Strike One pistols from Arsenal Firearms.  The Strike One is a polymer framed handgun from the same company that introduced the double barrel 1911 pistol last year.

Arsenal Firearms claims the Strike one is “…the fastest, most controllable, most accurate and hard hitting service pistol available today on the world market.”  Those are some pretty big claims considering the excellent alternatives from Glock, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory and others.

The Strike One is marketed in two sizes, a smaller one for “combat” and a larger one for competition.  Both models feature ambidextrous magazine releases and an integrated Picatinny rail.  They can be had in 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 SIG and the 9×21 IMI.

Arsenal Firearms claims that their high speed videos “…prove beyond any doubt the technical and ballistic superiority of the Strike One over any and all other known semiautomatic pistols available on the world market today.”  The first of three videos the company will release is shown below.

According to a March announcement, the Strike One should already be shipping.  It is not known if any pistols have been delivered yet.  According to prior reports, Arsenal Firearms was making a large push for selling the pistols in the Russian Federation.  It would seem the company’s appearance at the special forces competition is part of that effort.

I’ve been watching and waiting for this gun! I wish they’d hurry up and get in stores already. It’s been, it seems like, a couple of years since they announced it.
