laserlyte_k-50The LaserLyte® Kryptonyte® .50 BMG green laser cartridge bore tool (K-50) helps sight-in .50 caliber rifles quickly and economically. Getting the user on paper the first shot, (3-4 inches from center at 100 yards), the K-50 fits inside the chamber and when the bolt is closed the laser automatically activates. The daylight-visible 532-nanometer laser creates a dot that can be seen up to 100 yards with the naked eye.

Manufactured to the highest degree of .50 BMG match grade tolerances, each unit is checked with LaserLyte’s custom-made gauge. The K-50 is powered by one CR2 battery (commonly used in digital cameras) that provides 1.5 hours of continuous on. Read More→

extremeshok_maggripExtreme Shock Ammunition, known for producing the world’s most advanced ammunition, introduces two new products, the Extreme Shock Gripwell and the Extreme Shock Lightwell.

These two products are built for use with an M4 or AR-15 to offer better grip, allow for faster reloads, improve stance for CQB and protect the gun itself.

The Gripwell allows the operator to use the magazine well as a grip and creates a magazine funnel to reduce reload time.  It weighs only 110 grams and is independent of the barrel length so it can be interchanged between full length and carbine length weapons. Read More→

laserlyte_trainer3LaserLyte introduced a new training laser: the LaserLyte Laser Trainer Pro.  In a nutshell, this device adjusts to fit the barrels of most handguns.  Once inserted into the barrel, the device will flash a laser each time it “hears” the hammer fall.

The idea is you would use this device while dry firing to make sure that you are properly exercising the fundamentals of accurate shooting (especially trigger control) and the bullets would have gone where you thought they would have.  If the laser shines someplace different than where you were aiming, then you know something is off, and you can set about correcting your shooting.

In a time when ammo is both scarce and expensive, this little device could be valuable for anyone who practices with dry firing.  See the video below for a demonstration of how the Laser Trainer Pro works. Read More→

DeWalt 3D LED Flashlight Review

Posted by: Richard | Comments (1)

The DeWalt 3D flashlight is the largest flashlight in DeWalt’s recently introduced line-up of LED lights. The DeWalt line of LED flashlights are heavy duty aluminum torches designed for outdoor, construction, and industrial use.

I found this flashlight is rugged, inexpensive, and bright, and that works as advertised. While I have no doubt it makes an excellent construction light, I found it did very well in a law enforcement and home defense capacity.

dewalt_04

The DeWalt 3D is bright. Using common D-cell batteries, the DeWalt flashlight throws a bright 131 lumens. And since D-cell batteries are both inexpensive and available at virtually any store, you should alway be able to keep this light running without hurting the wallet. Also, D-cell batteries are normally stored by people for emergency preparedness situations, so it may share a common power source with other items such as radios in your preparedness gear. From Wilson Combat, the Carbon Removal Tool for the AR-15:

Never before has the soldier, enthusiast, gunsmith, or armorer had access to a single tool that can remove the carbon from both the bolt tail and bolt carrier with such ease and precision. New for 2009, the CRT-15 (Carbon Removal Tool for AR-15, M-16, and M-4 type bolts and bolt carriers) will be available in March of 2009.

This revolutionary tool eclipses the function of the “scraper style” tools currently in the industry by not only improving on their ability to remove carbon buildup in the bolt carrier, but surpassing them by adding the feature of quickly and accurately removing carbon buildup from the tail of the bolt.

No longer must the soldier, enthusiast, gunsmith, or armorer toil with solvent and a wire brush to adequately clean the tail of the bolt. Only the CRT-15 can remove carbon properly from any bolt tail radius, (bolt tail dimensions vary between manufacturers)!

The CRT-15 is the must have cleaning tool that should be in every cleaning kit of an AR-15, M-16, and M-4 owner/operator.

Features

  • Reamer-style end removes carbon from bolt carrier of the M-16 family
  • Lathe-style end removes carbon from the bolt tail of the M-16 family
  • Proper carbon removal ensures proper bolt operation
  • Easily fits in field cleaning kits
  • Lightweight compact design fits in pocket
  • All steel precision manufactured
  • Hardened for long lasting quality
  • 100% Made in the USA
  • Easy to use
  • Ensures proper bolt operation
  • Save time with a tool specifically designed to remove carbon from problem areas of M-16 family bolts and bolt carriers
  • Compact, lightweight, and field ready
  • Fewer tools to carry/transport

MSRP is $49.99.
