Smith and Wesson has introduced the M&P9 JG “Julie Goloski Champion Series” 9mm pistol. This new pistol was designed in collaboration with champion shooter Julie Goloski.
The M&P9 JG features several design changes from the normal 9mm M&P. The front sight is a fiber optic sight for enhanced visibility. The rear sight has been replaced with the Warren Tactical rear sight.
The M&P9 JG comes with the normal three interchangeable palm-swell grips plus two new grips in bright pink. The new grips are one each of the small and medium sizes. The slide features an engraved breast cancer awareness ribbon. Smith and Wesson will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the M&P9 JG to a breast cancer awareness charity.
The M&P45 mid-size pistol features a 4-inch barrel and is manufactured with the same standard features for all products in the M&P pistol series. The polymer-framed sidearm, chambered in .45 ACP, is available with a traditional black frame, or in a bi-tone, dark earth brown frame. The dark earth brown model is manufactured with a frame-mounted thumb safety along with a lanyard loop while the traditional black model is offered with or without the thumb safety.
The M&P45 mid-size measures 7 ½ inches in overall length and is standard with a 10+1 magazine capacity. The front sight is a standard dovetailed steel ramp with a steel Lo-Mount carry rear sight.
The Smith & Wesson Performance Center has introduced its own custom version of the M&P pistol – the M&P9 Pro Series. Designed with the competitive shooter in mind, this full-size polymer pistol is chambered in 9mm and features a 5-inch barrel with an overall length of 8 ½ inches.
In addition to the M&P9 Pro Series, Smith & Wesson is also offering a version of the M&P pistol with a 5-inch barrel, the M&P9L. The M&P9L is chambered in 9mm and measures 8 ¼ inches in overall length. The 5-inch barrel offers increased accuracy and makes it a viable choice for competitive shooting.
Troops in the field are often required to carry their M16/M4 rifle unloaded. This has meant that the soldier would stuff a rag in the magazine well to keep the dirt and grime out. This is only partially effective. In environments with a lot of sand or dust, a rag isn’t very effective. Enter the JimmyPlug.
Designed by an Army soldier with five tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, the JimmyPlug is a lightweight, injection-molded plug for the AR mag well. The lip of the JimmyPlug has an open cell foam gasket that prevents dirt, dust, and grime from entering the weapon. The plug drops away freely when the mag release is hit, allowing for a rapid load if needed.

The M&P15R features a chrome lined 16″ barrel with a 1:8″ twist, M4 style post front sight, and a six-position collapsible stock. The rifle comes with one 30-round magazine.
AK-47 rifles. The 5.45×39 is not the same as the 5.56×45 NATO (or .223 Remington) cartridge which is the standard cartridge AR-15 platform rifles are chambered for.
