Smith & Wesson Shipping 10mm and 41 Magnum Night Guard Revolvers

smithwesson_nightguard Smith & Wesson announced they are now shipping the latest revolvers in their Night Guard series: the 10mm and the .41 Magnum. Announced in January, the model 310 is a 10mm revolver and the model 357, which is chambered in .41 Magnum.

Smith and Wesson Introduces the Model 57 Classic in .41 Magnum

Smith and Wesson is bringing back the .41 Magnum at this year’s SHOT show in the model 57 Classic and the model 357 Night Guard. (Information on the S&W model 357 Night Guard is here.)

Smith and Wesson model 57 Classic revolver The S&W model 57 Classic is offered in four variations: 4″ and 6″ in bright blue and 4″ and 6″ in bright nickel. Each model features color case hardened triggers and hammer spurs. All of the variations are made of fine carbon steel and hold six rounds.

In addition to the beautiful metal colors, the revolvers all feature the classic styling of the checkered square-butt walnut grips.

Sights are handled in the classic style as well: a pinned red ramp front sight and a micro-adjustable, white outline rear sight.

Smith and Wesson model 57 revolver I really love the styling of the classic S&W revolvers and these look great. The only thing I absolutely dislike about them: the internal safety lock. If Smith and Wesson would make these WITHOUT the lock, I would order a 4″ blue model 57 as soon as my dealer opened shop tomorrow!

MSRP ranges from $1067 to 1130 depending on finish and barrel length.

Smith and Wesson Introduces Model 357 Night Guard in .41 Magnum

Smith and Wesson has brought back the powerful .41 Magnum as a self defense gun in the Model 357 Night Guard. The six-shot S&W model 357 Night Guard sports a XS 24/7 front tritium sight on the end of its 2 1/2″ barrel and a Cylinder and Slide Extreme Duty fixed rear sight.

Smith and Wesson model 357 .41 Magnum Night Guard revolver With a Scandium frame, the model 357 weighs less than 30 ounces unloaded. Recoil from the .41 Magnum is somewhat tamed by Pachmayr’s excellent Compac Custom grips.
