Comprehensive Walther CCP Holster Listing

At the time of this writing, the Walther CCP is a brand new pistol in the US market.  There is quite a bit of interest in the new pistol, but few holsters and other accessories are available for it yet.  We are assembling this Walther CCP holster list to try to help our readers with locating what they need to carry the new handgun.

Our readers are a valuable source of information for us. We can’t see everything and be everywhere. If you know of a company that has introduced or announced a new carry rig for the CCP, please let us know in the comments section below. We want to make sure that every quality holster is listed here so visitors to the site can get all of the information they need to help them make a good decision on which holsters to consider.

Walther CCP

The CCP is clearly designed for concealed carry.  But, to safely and efficiently carry a handgun for self defense, one must have a good holster.  Otherwise, the gun could fall, shift or even discharge unintentionally.  Even a small shift in the way it carries can slow your draw in an emergency.  If you are being attacked, those fractions of a second can be life-altering.

Not all holster makers are making scabbards for the new guns.  However, we’ve put together a list of Walther CCP holsters that have been announced or are already shipping.  If you know of any more, please share what you know in the comments section below.  We can add it to the page and your fellow readers will have another option to consider.

Also, if you have any of these holsters, let everyone know what you think – does it fit properly, how does it wear, etc.  By sharing our experiences, maybe we can help someone avoid buying a Walther CCP holster that is pure trash.

Comp-Tac

Popular holster maker Comp-Tac offers several rigs for the CCP pistol. The first is the Infidel Ultra. This is an inside-the-waistband scabbard made of polymer with a leather backing. It is not one of the typical hybrids as it maintains a traditional ride and look – similar to a Milt Sparks Summer Special.

One of the surprise hits from Comp-Tac is the blue International holster. These rigs are an outside-the-waistband holster with multiple mounting choices.

Another inside-the-waistband holster from Comp-Tac is the Spartan. Like the Infidel Ultra above, this is a combination of leather and polymer. It is a wider rig for additional comfort.

Crossbreed Holsters

Crossbreed Holsters jumped into the Walther CCP market with both feet.  The company announced they are now shipping eight different carry options for the new pistol.  These rigs include:

  • SuperTuck
  • Appendix Carry
  • SnapSlide
  • QwikClip
  • SuperSlide
  • Ohai Modular Holster
  • Purse Defender
  • Ankle Holster
  • Modular Holster with RAM Mount

Many people are familiar with the CrossBreed brand and the hybrid Kydex/leather scabbards they have made so popular.  If you have not seen these holsters before, make sure you check out the company’s website.  Right and left hand models are available.  MSRP varies depending on the model and options selected.

The RAM Mount system allows a gun owner to attach a pistol holster to a variety of surfaces such as under a desk top or even on the handle bars of a motorcycle.  This allows a citizen to have a defensive pistol close at hand in a variety of locations.  For example, a business owner carries his Walther CCP to work in a holster, but transfers the gun to an under the desk location while sitting and working at his or her computer.

Dara Holsters

Dara Holsters for Walther CCP

Dara Holsters offers a number of its high-quality Kydex rigs for this compact handgun. These rigs use high-quality parts and will last for a very long time. I’ve got two of the company’s rigs for my Smith & Wesson Shield, and I like them very much. You should definitely give them a look.

DeSantis Gunhide

DeSantis has been very good about getting leather holsters to market for newly introduced guns.  The CCP is no different, and the company is now offering ten different models for the new Walther pistol.

DeSantis Holster Walther CCPMini Scabbard – The Mini Scabbard is a simple, open top leather OWB holster.  It comes in black or tan leather and fits belts up to 1.5″ wide.  As with all holsters, we recommend buying a good gun belt to help secure the holster in place when being carried.  MSRP is $59.99.

Speed Scabbard – This holster is a traditional pancake-style rig that should work well with the CCP.  It is more expensive than the Mini Scabbard (MSRP of $72.99).  It is also available in black or tan leather.

This video shows the Speed Scabbard in greater detail:

Pro Stealth – This is an inexpensive IWB nylon holster that includes a spare magazine holder attached to the front of the rig.  I personally do not like this holster, but I know they sell very well.  The DeSantis holster is held in place by a metal clip.

The ProStealth is an open top holster.  It retails for $38.99, though I would imagine it can be had for cheaper in a lot of other places.  If you are interested in this nylon CCP holster, you should watch this overview video:

Tuck This II – This is another nylon IWB holster from DeSantis.  It is similar to the Pro Stealth, but it includes a clip that allows the user to tuck a shirt in over the gun and holster.  MSRP is $39.99.

Apache Ankle Rig – If you are looking for a Walther CCP ankle holster, this is one of the few options that are available.  Though I have never used an Apache, I have heard good things about them from others.  It has a wide elastic strap to help spread the weight over a larger area, and it uses a soft sheepskin lining to eliminate discomfort from the hard edges of the gun.  MSRP is $54.99.

Cozy Partner – This leather holster is similar to the classic Milt Sparks Summer Special that I still use for my Glock 19.  It is an IWB style that uses two straps to attach to the gun belt.  The Cozy Partner has “wings” on the sides of the holster to help improve comfort.  It will fit belts up to 1.75″ wide.  This rig is available in both tan and black.  It carries an MSRP of $75.99.

Sof-Tuck – Inexpensive, this tuckable leather IWB holster carries an MSRP of only $29.99.  It is not a pretty holster, but it looks like it will get the job done for a fraction of the price of other leather scabbards.

E-Gat Slide – This is a very basic OWB holster.  It has an open top and is made of black leather.  There isn’t a lot to say about this one.  MSRP is $32.99.

L-Gat Slide – The L-Gat is the expensive version of the E-Gat (MSRP of $70.99.)  Other than being tan, this CCP rig looks the same as the E-Gat.  However, there is improved double-stitching and precision molding that accounts for the (more than double) price increase.

Inside Heat – Described as a “bare bones minimum IWB holster,” this black rig is held on the shooter by a simple metal belt clip.  It does not have a retention strap.  The suggested retail price is $34.99.

Fobus

One of the first holsters for the Walther CCP is the Fobus IWB.  This rig has an injection molded sleeve mounted to a flexible, ventilated pad that keeps the pistol from rubbing against the body.  The unit uses a J-hook to secure the holster to the belt.  According to Fobus, the backing is impervious to sweat and other liquids, and the holster is easy to put on and take off without having to remove your belt.  These are now shipping and carry a MSRP of $44.99.

King Holster

King Holster makes an inexpensive minimalist-style holster for the CCP. This leather rig is available in black only. I’ve got no idea of how well it will hold up, but at less than $20, it is a fraction of the cost of the other holsters in this list.

Safariland

The newest concealment holster from Safariland, the 578 GLS Pro-Fit, is available for the Walther pistol. The Pro-Fit will actually fit nearly 200 different guns with a simple turn of a screw. It is an incredibly cool system and very affordable. Read my full review of the Safariland holster here.

SHTF Gear

I’ve not tried one of these rigs, but I’ve heard good things about the holsters from SHTF Gear. The ACE-1 Gen 2 holster is an IWB-style holster with a precision molded shell on a leather backer. The backer has belt clips spaced widely apart for comfort and security. These rigs run about $60.

Statureman Custom Holsters

Announced, but not yet available for pre-order, are Kydex holsters from Statureman Custom Holsters.  When these are available for order, we will update this page and let you know.  Until then, feel free to take a look at the company’s other work.

If you are not familiar with the CCP pistol, check out this video from Walther on the handgun:

The Well Armed Woman

The Well Armed Woman offers a few holster options for the Walther CCP pistol. The first is the company’s Kydex IWB rig. One of the things that sets the holsters apart from those at other companies, is that they are available in many different colors. The rigs run $47.99.

The company also offers belly bands, thigh rigs and ankle holsters with generic fits. In general, I’ve found generic fit rigs to be less-than-ideal, but can work in some circumstances.

If you know of a holster company we missed that is currently making CCP rigs, please leave a note in the comments section below. We want to include every quality holster maker we can find, and we rely on our readers to help keep up up to speed on who is making what products.

I chose the Safariland holster since I am an Open Carry advocate and prefer this method of carry. I switched out the standard paddle for the micro paddle Safariland offers. This holster works well with the Walther CCP. This is a secure, comfortable rig for all day carry.

I purchased a Walther CCP and at the same time a Streamlight TLR-4G laser which was mounted on my firearm.
I would like a recommendation for a holster.
Thank you.

I like the sneaky Pete holster for my ppk. I did add a hard plastic strip to fit under the end of the barrel as it was beginning to imprint the leather on the bottom.
I now have a Walther CCP as well so please let me know if you ever create one for that.
