Building and modifying AR rifles is one of the fastest growing activities in the shooting world. It makes a lot of sense: the guns are both easy to shoot and easy to build. Anyone who enjoys building and tinkering will likely enjoy customizing their own rifle.
Like you, I enjoy shooting the AR-15. I also enjoy experimenting with different parts and accessories. Below are reviews of the AR parts that I have written. Some of these AR accessories have performed really well, while others have been a bit of a bust.
- 80% Arms Easy Jig Gen 2 Review – If you are looking to build your own AR-style rifle from a blank, a quality jig is important. The Easy Jig Gen 2 is perfect for doing this. I’ve used it and wrote up my thoughts in this review.
- Gripwell Review – If you use the magazine well of your AR as a hand hold, consider the Gripwell. It’s an add-on to give you better support when shooting.
- Elzetta ZFH1500 Review – If you have an older-style AR-15 without an accessory rail, this is the way to add a flashlight by using the A2 sight base. It works great!
- Tango Down ARC-L AR-15 Magazine Review – This is a review of the polymer magazines from Tango Down. How well to they perform? Are they as good as the Magpul PMAG?
- TAPCO AR-15 Magazine – These are very affordable polymer mags, but are they reliable? We review them to find out.
- Tyrant Designs Mod Series Pistol and ForeGrips – Tyrant Designs makes high quality CNC machined AR parts. I take a look at the Mod Series pistol grip and the Mod ForeGrip.
