Sturm, Ruger & Co. teamed up with TALO Distributors to introduce an M1 Carbine reproduction based on the company’s 10/22 rifle design. The new guns are not a true reproduction, but have the classic look of the old guns combined with the company’s incredibly popular rimfire action.
The new rifles, called the 10/22 M1 Carbine, will be semi-automatic and use the company’s standard magazines. Aftermarket 10/22 magazines should also work in this gun. The standard rifle ships with a single 15-round magazine, but will also take the flush-fitting 10 round mags for an appearance more in keeping with the M1 Carbine lines.
A second model that ships with a single 10-round magazine will also be available. This should open the gun up to those shooters living in states that have restricted their rights.
