LaserLyte laser for Taurus Judge, other revolvers

LaserLyte announced a “side mount” laser for the Taurus and Smith & Wesson line of revolvers, including the incredibly popular Taurus Judge.  The Taurus Judge is a line of medium to large revolvers that fire both .45 Colt cartridges and .410 bore shot shells (and slugs.)  This is the first time anyone has developed this kind of  side mount laser for the Judge handguns.

LaserLte says the Side Mount Laser (SML) is easily mounted underneath the rubber grip of the revolver and allows the shooter to retain the factory or custom grips, and use the same holster as an unmodified gun.  The included photos show where the laser unit mounts on the revolvers.

Like LaserLyte’s other products, the SML has a constant on mode and a pulsing mode.  This allows the shooter to choose what works best for his or her needs.  A pulsing laser gives nearly the same benefits as the constant on, but at half the energy expenditure.  Battery life is rated for five hours in constant mode, and 10 hours in pulsing.

The side mount laser unit will work with other revolvers.  It is not limited to use on a Taurus Judge.  This will surely come as a welcome option for anyone carrying a revolver for self-defense and personal protection.  There are other options on the market, but more competition helps drive innovation forward and prices down.

Installation appears to be very simple: simply remove the grip, screw the fitted side panel into place, and then replace the grips.  Additional detail pictures are below, along with a video showing the LaserLyte side mount laser in use.

Hi, do you know of any other lasers that will fit the public defender judge ? I would love to have one. If you can think of something ppl let me know. God bless God bless the United States if America.

I’m afraid not. I checked with Crimson Trace and others – no one seems to make a laser for that particular gun. Your best bet may be to set up an alert for eBay to notify you in case anyone lists a used one for sale.

I wish I had better information for you.
