HK45 Tactical

HK45 Tactical Suppressor

HK announced the introduction of the HK45 Tactical to the civilian market.  It looks like you will be able to get them in all sorts of tactical colors and with a threaded barrel.

Probably the oddest thing about this product announcement is that the HK45 Tactical is shown in a photograph with a “dummy” sound suppressor and is captioned “depiction of suppressor does not constitute endorsement.”  Huh?  Do they not endorse the use of eye protection either?

HK45 Compact Tactical

Heckler & Koch (H&K) announced they will be showing the new HK45 Compact Tactical pistol at this year’s SHOT Show.  The HK45 Compact Tactical is described by Heckler & Koch as “…the closest a civilian can get to [the HK45] military pistol.”

The new H&K handgun will come standard with a threaded barrel, extended magazine (10 rounds) and swappable grip panels.  The pistol can take any size HK45 magazines.

The polymer frame has a Picatinny rail.  The HK45 Compact Tactical can be outfitted with any one of nine different trigger styles.  MSRP runs from $1392 to $1461.

HK45 is a great gun. The tactical models and the different frame colors are great. But, you can’t find magazines or even many parts for them anywhere. All stores are completely sold out and prices are out of control for the few available on auctions. Some stores have gone as far as removing the magazines from their catalogs entirely since they have no idea when they will ever get more inventory. Many of the stores that have kept them in catalog have raised the price and put limits on the number you can order when they get them back in stock.

Why on earth does HK try so hard to make people who are into their guns (serious shooters who will spend the money for good kit.) mad. They are the biggest anti gun, pro NFA gun company. Seriously HK? you don’t support suppressors? black USC carbines, post 1994 ban anything? and then you want to charge me 300% markup on everything you make cause rainbox six had your guns in it, and some SEALs liked the USP45 compact tactical.
They are reliable, yes, but so is a $125 Makarov. Only the Mak has a better trigger.
    P227 is getting my money.

Wilson Combat WCP320 Carry Review

The Wilson Combat WCP320 Carry is one of the best 9mm pistols I’ve reviewed.
