Magpul announced a new addition to their popular MOE line of products – the  MOE Fixed Carbine Stock. Available in both Mil-Spec and Commercial models the Fixed Carbine Stock provides shooters with another option to satisfy their personal preferences, or State-mandated rifle accessories. The new addition is specifically designed for Carbine-length buffer tubes.
The MOE Fixed Carine Stock has many similar features of the popular MOE collapsible stock. Unlike the previous MOE fixed stock option, the MOE Rifle Stock, the new Fixed Carbine Stock has an open frame that closely resembles the look of the collapsible stock version. The open frame is a little longer and larger than the collapsible stock version, and there is a fixed spacer at the front of the stock. That spacer is designed to envelope the bottom half of the castle nut.
Magpul states that the Fixed Carbine Stock provides the following:
- A slim profile
- Improved cheek weld
- Multiple sling attachment options – including the addition of a QD mounting port
The MOE Fixed Carbine Stock is compatible with the ASAP Plate and PRS Extended Rubber Butt Pad. Installation does not require an armorer, as the castle nut and lock plate do not need to be removed.
Unfortunately, Magpul has not released the specifications so I cannot bring you the length, measurements, or mounting methods of this product. They have added both the Mil-Spec and Commercial versions to their website, so I’m sure the specifications will be forthcoming. Although not specifically mentioned, I’m fairly confident that this new offering will come in the variety of colors that Magpul produces for other stocks.
Both versions of the MOE Fixed Carbine Stock have an MSRP of $49.95, as opposed to $69.95 for the MOE Rifle Stock.
