2014 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits

New guns and other shooting products are expected to be seen at the 2014 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Indianapolis, IN. Better known as the NRA Show, thousands of shooters, NRA members and outsdoorsmen will be in attendance. All of the major manufacturers will be on hand to provide information about the event. We will provide the latest information on the show and guns right here.

Beretta

Beretta is showing off the ARX-100 rifles and Sako ammunition. Prior to now, the Sako ammo could not be found in the US.

Here is the A400 Xtreme shotgun sporting the Max5 camo pattern:

Beretta also put together a time-lapse video showing the NRA booth being assembled:

BLACKHAWK!

Blackhawk! introduced new holsters for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield and for the Glock 42. Both guns will now have a level II SERPA as a holster choice. Also, the company announced the inexpensive Sportster model holsters will be available for these pistols also.

Crimson Trace

CT is showing a new laser aiming device for the Remington R51. It is a Laserguard design. The company is also showing another Laserguard for the Glock 42.

Remington Arms

The new Model 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader was announced right before the NRA show and is now on display at the exhibits. The rifle is, as the name suggests, a muzzle loading gun in the design of the popular 700 series rifles. The company claims the gun can push a 250 grain projectile to more than 2,400 fps and is accurate to 300 yards. Synthetic and laminate stocks are available. MSRP is $1,295.

Paul Carlson at the Safety Solutions Academy grabbed a photo of the really good looking wood grips for the R51.

Sturm, Ruger & Co.

Sturm, Ruger & Co. is showing the new 10/22 50th Anniversary design. The gun is thoroughly modern with little, if any, homage to the original gun. The rifle is equipped with an SR556-style flash hider, ghost ring sights, an adjustable stock and a Picatinny rail for adding optics. The rail was developed by the Picatinny Arsenal for the United States Army and other military branches.

The synthetic stock is black and the metal is stainless. The gun weighs in at five pounds and has an 18.5″ barrel. MSRP is $379.

Smith & Wesson

Smith & Wesson brought a bunch of the company’s performance center guns to the 2014 NRA expo. Here is a video showing some of what they have to offer.

SureFire

A few days ago, SureFire announced a new .22 LR suppressor called the SF Ryder 22-A. It is one of the company’s big new products at the show. It is a very small and lightweight silencer that really does a great job of reducing the sound signature of the rimfire rounds. Here is a intro video on the suppressor:

Taurus USA

Taurus is showing off a pair of survival kits that feature the Judge and 617 revolvers. The kits include the guns, speedloaders, flashlights, knives, Hornady Critical Defense ammo and more. MSRP is $1,399 for the 617 version and $1,499 for the Judge model.

Carl Walther GmbH

Walther is showing the company’s new CCP pistol. It is a single stack 9mm designed for concealed carry. This is the first time the pistol has been shown at a US show.

2014 NRA Show

The National Rifle Association’s (NRA) Annual Meeting is a 3-day exhibition at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Featuring exhibitors, workshops and events, it draws around 80,000 people.

The National Rifle Association of America is a gun rights advocacy group based in the United States. Founded in 1871 to advance rifle marksmanship, the modern NRA has become a prominent gun rights lobbying organization while continuing to teach firearm safety and competency with rifles, shotguns, pistols revolvers, lever action firearms, ammo, ammunition, guns, bullets, reloading supplies, black powder, smokeless powder, machine guns and other forms of shooting accessories and weapons. There is not a shooting range at the show, but there are plenty in the near area.
