Kahr CM45: Details from the 2013 SHOT Show

Kahr CM45 review

Another new gun shown at the 2013 SHOT Show is the Kahr CM45 (Model #4543).  The CM series of handguns is the economy version of the PM series that Kahr produces.  Adding the venerable .45 ACP caliber to the CM series of handguns should bode well for Kahr, as the CM series has been a popular line for the company.  Although, not the top of the line offering like the PM series, the CM series still offers many desired features, while allowing a market price far below the PM series.

MultiCam Rally Fighter at the SHOT Show

Rally Fighter

The MultiCam Rally Fighter is but one of the cool vehicles frequently seen at the SHOT Show.  This purpose-built machine was prominently displayed on the ground floor of the convention center, and drew quite a bit of interest from people wandering by.

Kahr CW380

Kahr CW380

Kahr announced the new CW380 at the SHOT Show.  The new pistol is chamered in .380 ACP and continues the budget line of pistols the company has been putting out for several years.  Other calibers in this line include the CW9 and CW40 in 9mm and .40 S&W respectively.

The CW380 has a 2.58″ barrel and is less than 5″ in total length.  Height is less than 4″.  Throw in an unloaded weight (no magazine) of 10.2 ounces and you can see how someone wanting a very lightweight, concealable firearm might like the new Kahr.

Glock 30S – A Reality

Glock 30S

It looks like Glock’s big announcement at the SHOT Show (other than “Hey, we have a social network site!”) is the 30S pistol.  I mentioned the rumors of this gun a few days ago, but I have now seen one.

Essentially, the Glock 30S is a model 30SF frame with a model 36 slide attached to it.  The key benefit being to shrink the width of the gun to make it more appealing for concealed carry.  I certainly applaud the effort, and I would presume this gun will be well received in the market.
