Lancer L7 Advanced Warfighter Magazine

Lancer displayed their new L7 Advanced Warfighter Magazine (AWM) at the 2014 SHOT Show.Â The magazine is specifically designed as an upgraded magazine for semi-auto .308 caliber (7.62x51mm) rifles.Â The L7 AWM continues Lancerâ€™s famous translucent options in polymer magazines.

Lancer believed that most .308 caliber polymer magazines were not strong enough to sustain repeated firing of the more powerful .30 caliber cartridges.Â To answer this concern, Lancer combined the lightweight benefit of polymer, with the hardness and durability of steel like their L5 AWM.

Mossberg Duck Dynasty Line

Mossberg recently joined forces with the wildly popular real-TV show Duck Dynasty.Â Adding to their very popular line of shotguns, Mossberg will now offer a Duck Commander Series.

The Series includes 11 pump-action and auto-loading waterfowl shotguns that will feature the Duck Commander logo, Realtree Max-5 camouflage, TRUGLO fiber optic sights with a variety of stock, barrel and finish options.Â The Duck Commander line will also include two .22LR semi-auto rifles – a plastic gun that looks like an AR-15, and the Mossberg 702 Plinkster semi-auto rifle.Â In addition, there will be a .22LR semi-auto pistol (also on an AR-looking shell).Â Every firearm will come with an American flag bandana.

Diamondhead Polymer Sights

In a move to expand their popular flip-up sights, Diamondhead has announced the addition of a new polymer line of spring-loaded flip-up sights.Â These sights will be modeled after the original metal Diamondhead line of flip-up sights, which have been very well received with their ability to quickly guide the shooterâ€™s eye to center.

The new polymer sights are designed to work on all AR-15â€˜s with a Picatinny attachment rail, though they are not suitable for a gas block sight base to heat concerns.Â In addition to lighter weight, from the advanced polymer/composite construction, Diamondhead has incorporated NiteBrite photoluminescent inserts that can be illuminated with natural light or with a flashlight.Â This feature will be standard.

Caldwell Mag Charger for AR

Perhaps the coolest gadget Iâ€™ve seen at the SHOT Show so far this year is the Caldwell AR-15 Mag Charger.Â Being displayed at the Battenfeld Technologies booth, the Mag Charger is designed to quickly load AR-15 magazines in three easy steps.Â According to the advertisement, the Mag Charger can load 30-rounds of ammunition from the box to the magazine in only 10 seconds.Â The system is capable of loading .223, 5.56mm, and .204 ammunition.

The Mag Charger has a spring loaded ammunition tray designed for 50 rounds per load sitting inside of an open-topped plastic housing.Â Loading 50-round boxes of ammunition that typically sit loosely in a plastic or styrofoam tray is best, but ammunition can be loaded individually if needed.

WMD Guns of Stuart, Florida is now offering â€œThe Beastâ€ to the AR-15 market.Â Known for their Nickel Boron coated parts and accessories, The Beast will be chambered in 5.56mm/.223.Â The Nickel Boron (NiB-X) coating on nearly every major component should catch the shooterâ€™s eye.Â The barrel is coated in Nickel Boron, which WMD claims assist the rifle in heat dissipation.

Miller Precision Arms MPA300 Guardian

Miller Precision Arms was showing off their MPA300 Guardian at the SHOT Show Media Day this year.Â According to MPA, the Guardian is the first, â€œand onlyâ€, .300 Win Mag to reach the market in a truly AR platform.Â The show model was set out in a nice personalized hard cover rifle case, complete with extra magazines and accessories, enticing shooters to get behind the cross hairs.
